Understanding Your Tides to Better Navigate Your Life
At Ocean Energy Wellness, I refer to your tides as your energy. More specifically, your feelings and emotions. This is such an important concept to understand because it will help you navigate your life in a whole new way.
Understanding your tides is as simple as identifying how you are feeling through out the day. This is your ebb and flow.
You are an energetic being. You are energy in physical form. This means that you are influenced and impacted by energy. Everything around you is energy; people, objects, experiences, the moon, stars, etc.
When you can understand how you ebb and flow within your life, you can then start to dissect what may be impacting you in a negative way and positive way.
This type of understanding will help you to identify what energy tools you can also use to support you in times of low and high tides.
What exactly are low and high tides?
A low tide is when you may not feeling so good. These are lower level emotions like feeling stuck, depressed, anger, uncertain. Think of low tide, the water has receded and is is dry. You feel as if life maybe difficult to navigate through.
A high tide is when you are feeling in a higher state of being; love, excitement, gratitude, appreciation you are aligning ourselves up with what you truly want and who you truly are. When you are in high tide, you are able to swim freely and really enjoy yourself.
By identifying your tides, you are able to understand where you currently are and it gives you an opportunity to feel a little bit better.
It is OK to feel both, high and low tides. This is you experiencing emotions and being human. There is nothing wrong with feeling emotion. What truly matters is how you react and respond to emotions.
In this day and age, it seems as if we are all on personal timers. Not knowing where someone is on their timer and the experiences they have. One day, you may interact with them and they have had enough. This interaction leads to a huge time bomb going off. Their lower tides are taking over and they don’t know how to work with them in a healthy way. They react to their experience. Most likely when this occurs, sometimes there is a lot of regret afterward.
Wouldn’t it be nice to understand your ebbs and flows, understand what may trigger these responses and choose to work with this type of energy in a healthy way?
Growing up, I never knew how to deal with my emotions in a healthy way. I’m sure there are a lot of others who feel the same way. This work is important because if we don’t understand our emotions and how to work with them, we create a lot of trauma with our bodies.
Trauma impacts our nervous system and causes us to go into flight/flight or freeze mode. Which can impact our lives in unhealthy ways. Keeping us from reaching for our dreams. Keeping us stuck in a box, not growing and challenging ourselves as Humans and more.
The first step is to understand your tides, how you ebb and flow and then you can learn some energy healing tools and processes that can support your feelings and emotions. Allowing you to feel empowered and not feel like you are fighting for your life.
Take time to notice how you feel on a daily basis and keep track of them. Write them in your journal and then note how you ebb and flow. Journaling is a wonderful tool to help you uncover cycle and patterns. This will help you get clear on what may be causing certain low tides and determine what you want to do to help you energetically in those areas.
Remember, you always have choice. Will you react to your tides or respond to them?
